Police on manhunt for group of men who robbed G4S cash van on the N11 Hendrina road

Breyten Police are looking for a group of suspects who detonated a G4S vehicle on the N11 road between Hendrina and Ermelo last night, 4 December with explosives.

According to the police, about 10 armed men driving a black Jeep and white Mercedes Benz, forced the van to stop by firing at the driver.

The door of the cash van was blown off by explosives and the driver disarmed.

The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Three innocent road users were involved in the shootout and wounded.

All three and the driver, were admitted to hospital with shot gun wounds.

“We are appealing to anyone who can assist with information to come forward by contacting the nearest police station, said Sgt Thabo Mashegoane.
