Ermelo police arrest man for producing tampered cheque at local bank

A man was arrested and charged with fraud by Ermelo Police on Friday, 1 June.

According to the police, it is alleged the man produced a cheque for R396 800 for payment at a local bank.

“Upon investigation, it was discovered that the cheque was tampered with,” Capt Carla Prinsloo said.

Police were informed and the person was arrested.
